Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AutoDebtor website at autodebtor.com and the AutoDebtor credit-control platform (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1. The Service

AutoDebtor is an automated credit-control tool. It lets you upload invoices and customer ("debtor") details, schedule and place automated telephone calls that chase outstanding invoices using an AI voice agent, and review transcripts, outcomes, and summaries of those calls. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate registration details and verify your email address to activate your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • The Service is intended for business use by organisations engaged in legitimate credit control.

3. Trials, plans, minutes, and payment

  • Free trial. New accounts receive a limited allowance of free calling minutes once their email is verified. The allowance is a one-time, lifetime trial amount and is not guaranteed to recur.
  • Paid plans and top-ups. Paid subscriptions and additional minute "top-ups" are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions provide a monthly minute quota; top-ups add extra minutes. Your current plan, quota, and usage are shown in the dashboard.
  • Usage limits. When your available minutes are exhausted, scheduling new calls is blocked until you add minutes or upgrade. We may apply reasonable rate and concurrency limits to protect the platform.
  • Billing management. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal we provide (powered by Stripe).

4. Your responsibilities when placing calls

Automated calling is heavily regulated. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful. In particular, you agree that:

  • You have a valid lawful basis and any required consent to contact the phone numbers you upload, and to pursue the debts in question;
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing debt collection, automated and AI-generated calls, telemarketing, calling hours, do-not-call requirements, and the recording or transcription of calls in the relevant jurisdiction(s);
  • You will configure an accurate caller identity and will not impersonate any third party;
  • The invoices and debts you pursue through the Service are genuine and accurate; and
  • You will handle your customers' personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection law, as controller.

You are the controller of the debtor data you upload, and we process it on your behalf as described in the Privacy Policy and GDPR notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, deceive, threaten, or defraud any person, or for calls unrelated to legitimate credit control;
  • Upload numbers you are not permitted to contact, or contact recipients who have withdrawn consent or asked not to be called;
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or circumvent the security, rate limits, or usage quotas of the Service;
  • Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section or that create risk for the platform or third parties.

6. AI-generated content

The Service uses automated speech and large-language-model technology to conduct conversations and to derive outcomes (such as a promise-to-pay date or a payment window). These outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors or mis-hearings. They are provided to assist your credit-control process and are not legal, financial, or collections advice. You are responsible for reviewing call outcomes before relying on them.

7. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service and all related intellectual property. You retain ownership of the data you upload. You grant us the limited right to process that data to provide the Service. We may use aggregated, de-identified operational data to maintain and improve the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party providers (including for telephony, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, language models, email, hosting, and payments), listed in the Privacy Policy. Their availability and performance are outside our control, and your use of the Service is also subject to their terms where applicable.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may perform maintenance, and we may modify or discontinue features.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to protect the Service or third parties. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
